Employer sponsored visas can be temporary or permanent.
Temporary employer sponsored visa (subclass 457)
This visa process has 3 distinct stages where the employing business has to approved as a sponsor, the nominated position has to be approved and the visa applicant is granted visa for temporary stay in Australia.
We assist employers in obtaining Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) valid for up to 5 years, during this period business sponsor can nominate positions to be filled by overseas employees.Standard Business Sponsor must meet obligations imposed during the period of sponsorship while employing workers on a 457 visa.
Position nomination for each sponsored employee must fulfill specific requirements and we will ensure that those requirements are met in the application.
457 visa application must demonstrate that the applicant meets the criteria with respect of skills, English language , registration/licencing, etc
457 visa holders are required to remain with the sponsoring employer in the nominated position unless a new sponsorship is sought. This visa may provide a platform for the visa holder to apply for permanent residence.
Permanent employer sponsored visas (subclass 186 and 187)
These visas fall under the Employer Nominated Scheme (ENS) or the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS). Both schemes can be used to sponsor employees for permanent residency.
The direct entry stream allows employers to sponsor employees directly into the permanent residency.
The temporary residence transition stream allows those employees who have been working with their employer on a 457 visa for at least 2 years to be sponsored by the employer into permanent residency.
